The field of participants for EURO 2024 is complete

Ukraine, Georgia and Poland have grapped the last three places in some dramatic play-off matches. This means that all matches in the group stage of the EURO 2024 have been finalised.

The last-minute decisions regarding qualification for the EURO 2024 finals could not have been more exciting. In the play-off final, Poland only prevailed against Wales in a penalty shoot-out. The Poles are now in Group D, which is considered to be the strongest of all the groups. Georgia also beat Greece in a penalty shoot-out to celebrate a historic victory. This is Georgia's first participation at a European Championship. Ukraine narrowly defeated Iceland to secure the coveted EURO ticket.

PLAY-OFF-FINAL:

Wales - Poland 4:5p

Georgia - Greece 4:2p

Ukraine - Iceland 2:1

With the allocation of the last three places, all matches in the group stage have now been finalised. This also means that the distribution of matches at EURO 2024 on German TV is more concrete and has been finalised, at least for the first two group matches. Only MagentaTV will show all 51 EURO matches, 5 of them exclusively. ARD/ZDF will broadcast 34 matches non-exclusively, RTL will show 12 matches non-exclusively (without German participation).

Three of the five matches that will be shown exclusively on MagentaTV have already been named:

1st group match day: Hungary - Switzerland, 15.06.2024, 3:00 p.m.

2nd group match day: Slovenia - Serbia, 20.06.2024, 3:00 p.m.

3rd group match day: Scotland - Hungary, 23.06.2024, 9:00 p.m

Overview of the TV distribution of the upcoming matches

The TV distribution of the remaining matches for the 3rd group match day, as well as the two matches in the round of 16 and one match in the quarter-finals, which will not be shown on ARD/ZDF, will only take place during the tournament.
